Members of the EcoGRAPH research team presented a workshop on spatial informatics tools for malaria early warning at Bahir Dar University in Ethiopia. Topics covered included basic data manipulation and graphics in the R language and environment, and the epidemiar package for generating malaria early warning forecasts. The workshop was led by Dr. Mike Wimberly, Dr. Dawn Nekorchuk, and Andrea Hess from OU. Participants were from Bahir Dar University, the Amhara Regional Health Bureau, and the Health, Development and Anti-Malaria Association.
