Dr. Mike Wimberly participated in a session on NASA Earth Observation Systems and Applications for Health, Air Quality, Environmental Management, and Public Outreach at the 2020 American Meterological Society in Boston, MA. He delivered a presentation on the use of satellite Earth observations for mapping microclimate variation and modeling the effects of temperature on dengue transmission in an urban landscape. This work was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Courtney Murdock’s research group at the University of Georgia.
