Research Interests

Eric Bump is a Ph.D. candidate and Graduate Research Assistant in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability at the University of Oklahoma, where he works with the EcoGRAPH research group. His research sits at the intersection of public health, climate epidemiology, and medical geography. He leverages geospatial data, climate analytics, and advanced statistical models to understand how weather and climate influence the spatial and temporal patterns of vector-borne disease dynamics, with a particular emphasis on West Nile virus and malaria.
